MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-6.4 earthquake jolted several areas in Southern Mindanao early yesterday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which occurred at 4:02 a.m., was located 388 kilometers south of Sarangani town in Davao Occidental.
The quake was felt at Intensity II in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat, and Gian, Sarangani province, and Intensity I in Kiamba, Sarangani.
State seismologists said no damage and aftershocks were expected from the quake.
