7 families homeless in Valenzuela fire

MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City yesterday morning, leaving seven families homeless.

The fire started at around 5:50 a.m. along Elysias street and reached second alarm before it was put out at around 6:34 a.m., according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Valenzuela office.

Investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire, the BFP said.

The city governmen reported no casualties as of 11 a.m. The affected families are currently staying at the Valenzuela National High School.
