Go attends San Carlos Super Health Center groundbreaking
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go gave recognition to the Department of Health and the city government of San Carlos, Negros Occidental during the groundbreaking of a Super Health Center in the city on Thursday.
Go, chairman of the Senate committee on health and demography, said more Super Health Centers would be established in rural areas, where basic health services are not easily accessible.
“Sa tulong po ng mga kasamahan ko sa Kongreso at mga local government officials ay (napondohan) po ang 307 na Super Health Centers noong 2022 at 322 na Super Health Centers sa 2023. Napakarami po dito sa Negros Occidental, pito noong 2022 at 18 na Super Health Centers ngayong 2023,” Go said in an ambush interview.
The Super Health Center is an improved version of the rural health unit. It also offers eye, ear, nose and throat service as well as oncology, rehabilitation and physical therapy.
