2 execs dead in shooting
MANILA, Philippines — Two executives of two companies died in a shooting following an argument in Quezon City over the weekend, police reported yesterday.
Investigators identified the victims as Ron Jayzer Pabalinas, 29, a supervisor of fitness apparel shop Sports Central, and Mark Jerome dela Cruz, 30, assistant area manager of Havaianas.
The shooting occurred at a house in Barangay Gulod on Saturday at around 11:40 p.m., according to an investigation report.
A relative of Pabalinas told police she overheard the two having an argument in their room, followed by several gunshots.
When she and other relatives opened the door, they saw the victims on the bed with gunshot wounds. A .38 caliber handgun was recovered beside Dela Cruz.
Probers recovered two bullets, two bullet casings and a fired bullet at the scene.
