MANILA, Philippines — At least P20 million worth of property was destroyed when a fire struck a facility stocked with piles of wood in Sucat, Parañaque on Sunday night.
In a report, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze originated from a warehouse owned by Consolidated Wood Products Inc. along Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Barangay San Antonio at around 11:34 p.m.
The BFP said the fire reached second alarm at around 11:40 p.m.
Authorities said the fire reached Task Force Bravo at past 1 a.m. yesterday. Thirty-seven firetrucks responded to the scene.
Reports said the warehouse is adjacent to a vacant lot of the Department of Public Works and Highways and a gasoline station, but both were not affected by the fire.
No one was reported injured in the fire.
Arson probers said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.
