MANILA, Philippines — A former policeman and his companion were killed in an alleged shootout with anti-narcotics agents in Naga City on Thursday night.
Albert Gumba, who had the rank of corporal, and his companion pulled their guns when they sensed they were dealing with undercover agents in Barangay San Isidro at around 11:15 p.m., police Drug Enforcement Group director Brig. Gen. Narciso Domingo said.
There was no casualty on the side of the government.
Police said two .45-caliber pistols, seven grams of shabu valued at P47,600 and a motorcycle were recovered from the fatalities.
