MVP Group, Belmonte launch teleconsultation booths in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City District 2 Councilor Mikey Belmonte, in partnership with mWell and Premiere 101, held an “mWell Medical para sa Barangay: Medical, Dental and Optical Mission” and unveiled the mWell teleconsultation booths on Jan. 20 for urban poor communities in Barangays Batasan Hills and Bagong Silangan, providing much-needed medical attention to around 650 constituents.

“The Quezon City government has gone through great lengths to address the health concerns of QCitizens. We recognize that having the private sector alongside us, especially in our fight to best manage the pandemic, and to fully adapt to the ‘new normal’ has truly been a blessing. This continuing partnership with mWell, Premiere 101 and… Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) is a testament to our commitment to help our QCitizens,” Belmonte said.

mWell is a fully integrated health app launched last year by the MPIC, the infrastructure and tollways conglomerate chaired by Manuel V. Pangilinan.

The teleconsultation booths are open to the public on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Barangay Batasan Hills. Laboratory tests are made available during Saturdays and Sundays.

The booths make technology-based health care-related services accessible to QCitizens, ensuring that patients can access the outpatient services of Metro Pacific Health’s network of hospitals, outpatient care centers and its roster of thousands of physicians, officials said.
