ATIMONAN, Quezon – A bedridden woman died when a fire gutted her house in Barangay Tagbakin in this town on Thursday night.
Police said Wendilena Fabros was trapped when the fire broke out at around 8:50 p.m. Fabros’ neighbors said she was alone in the house when the fire struck.
Police said the charred body of the victim was discovered after the fire was declared out at about 9:30 p.m.
Damage to property was estimated at P1.5 million.
