Manila bettor wins P79.1 million lotto pot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in the city of Manila won the P79.1-million jackpot of the Super Lotto 6/49 on Thursday night.

Melquiades Robles, general manager and vice chairperson of the board of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, said the winner guessed the combination for the Super Lotto 6/49 draw, 17-19-31-13-47-34, and won the P79,151,086.60 jackpot.

Fourteen other players each won P50,000 for guessing five of the six-digit combination, less the 20 percent tax for lotto winnings above P10,000 under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law. The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
