MANILA, Philippines — Certain roads in Tondo and Pandacan in Manila will be closed for tomorrow’s celebration of the Feast of the Child Jesus or Sto. Niño.

Portions of the following streets are sealed off to motorists starting at midnight last night until tomorrow: N. Zamora from Moriones to Chacon; Sta. Maria from Moriones to Morga; J. Nolasco from Morga to N. Zamora; Morga from Asuncion to Juan Luna; Ortega from Asuncion to Soliman; Lakandula from Asuncion to Ilaya; Ilaya from Lakandula to Recto Avenue; Chacon from Cano to N. Zamora; and Soliman from Morga to Ortega.

Meanwhile, parts of the following roads will also be shut starting at 6 a.m. today: Jesus street from Quirino Avenue to Palumpong street; Palumpong street from Jesus street to Beata street; Beata street from Jesus street to T. Claudio street; E. Zamora street from Quirino Avenue to Hilium street; and M. L. Carreon street from T. Claudio street to Pedro Gil street.

Personnel of the Manila city government would direct motorists to alternate routes, organizers assured.

Tondo will celebrate the Feast of the Sto. Niño with the Lakbayaw Festival while the feast day will be marked in Pandacan with the Buling-buling Festival.
