MANILA, Philippines — State-run Land Bank of the Philippines has released P10.3 million to cover the fuel subsidies of over 10,000 tricycle drivers nationwide.

LandBank and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) have started the distribution of P1,000 in fuel subsidy to 10,343 qualified tricycle drivers.

The beneficiaries are from Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Ilocos Region.

This is the LTFRB’s fuel subsidy program that aims to ramp up support for public utility vehicle drivers affected by the soaring cost of fuel.

All eligible tricycle drivers under the program, as identified by the LTFRB and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), can claim their fuel subsidies through over-the-counter transactions at designated LandBank branches.

A representative from covered local government units will be present during the scheduled distribution of the fuel subsidy to verify the eligibility of the beneficiaries.

The LTFRB and DILG informed the beneficiaries about the details of the payout release to ensure proper distribution.

These include schedule of the distribution, the designated LandBank servicing branch nearest the beneficiary and the requirements to be presented to claim the fuel subsidy.
