Romualdez, Tingog party-list aid Davao Norte flood victims

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Tingog party-list Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre have extended aid to flood victims in Davao del Norte.

On Monday, the offices of the lawmakers turned over P1 million in cash assistance and more than 1,600 food packs worth P500,000.

The relief assistance was distribuited to residents of Tagum City and the towns of New Corella, Asuncion, Kapalong, Carmen and Braulio E. Dujali.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development sent additional 3,000 family packs.

“This is the least that we can do for our kababayans who were displaced by the floods. Rest assured that we will always be responsive to calls for assistance from disaster-stricken provinces. A little malasakit can go a long way, and we’re here to lend a hand,” Romualdez said.
