Unpaid debt eyed in Vietnamese man’s slay

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Authorities are eyeing an unpaid debt as the motive for the killing of a Vietnamese in San Isidro, Abra.

Tien Dung, 46, was found dead in Barangay San Marcial on Dec. 31, according to Abra police director Lt. Col. Maly Cula.

The victim was reported missing on Dec. 28. He was identified through the clothes he was wearing.

Results of an autopsy conducted on the body showed Dung was strangled to death.

Police are examining footage of a closed-circuit television camera installed near the area where the body was found.
