3 Chinese arrested for kidnapping

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three Chinese men were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman, also a Chinese, in Barangay Molino 4 in Bacoor, Cavite on Thursday.

Lady Wu, 28, a data analyst and resident of Sichuan, China, was rescued by operatives of the police Anti-Kidnapping Group led by Col. Frederick Eslava Obar at around 10:30 p.m.

The suspects were identified as Huang Jun, 31; Huang Chen Bo, 24, and Chang Yu Pen, 22.

Col. Christopher Olazo, Cavite police director, said two men sought police assistance, saying a Chinese woman was taken from their hotel and brought to a rented house.

The victim told probers she came to the Philippines after the suspects promised her a job with a monthly salary of P150,000.

Police said a van, three guns, magazines with bullets, a hand grenade, a knife, handcuffs, six Iphones, a MacBook laptop, P78,300 in cash, duct tapes and various cards were recovered from the suspects.
