2 South Cotabato LGU security personnel slain

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — Two personnel of the civil security unit of the municipal government of Polomolok, South Cotabato were killed in a gun attack on Friday night.

Initial police reports identified the fatalities as retired policeman Bonifacio Cabisada, 58, and Jessie Arciete, 56.

The victims were on two motorcycles when they were shot along the Koronadal-General Santos Highway in Barangay Sulit.

Polomolok Mayor Bernie Palencia condemned the attack and urged barangay officials to help identify the culprits and determine the motive for the killing.
