Newborn abandoned in Quezon cemetery

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon, Philippines — A newborn baby boy was found in a cemetery in this town on Monday.

Police received a call from former mayor Cesar Isaac III that a certain Joven Nuga of Barangay Dungawan Central found the newborn in a sack.

The baby’s umbilical cord was still attached.

The newborn was brought to the Ginayangan Community Medicare for treatment.

Police are reviewing footage of closed-circuit television cameras in the cemetery to identify who left the baby.
