Skeletal remains, body dumped in Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A sack containing the skeletal remains of two persons and a decomposing body was dumped in a ravine in Silay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.
A witness told police that he saw a brown sport utility vehicle (SUV) pulling over near a bridge in Barangay Guimbalanon.
Two men reportedly alighted from the SUV carrying a sack, which they threw into the ravine, Silay police chief Col. Mark Darroca said, citing the witness’ account.
The bodies were hogtied, Darroca said, adding that the deceased might have been killed more than a month ago.
Darroca expressed belief that the victims may have been killed in other places and dumped in the area to mislead investigators.
