MANILA, Philippines — Over 8,000 employees of the Makati government will receive up to P20,000 each in incentives, Mayor Abigail Binay announced yesterday.
Binay said the Makati council approved two ordinances for the funding of the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for city hall employees.
She said Ordinance No. 2022-A-168 authorizes the allocation of P163.99 million for the SRI. Ordinance Numbers 2022-A-168 and 2022-A-169 grant job order employees a P5,000 gratuity pay and 25 kilos of rice assistance.
Binay lauded the city council for granting the release of additional incentives for the employees. “I hope this incentive will inspire our employees to continue to work hard in the service of our Makatizens,” she said in a statement.
There are 3,434 regular, 4,695 casual and 17 contractual employees who will receive the cash incentives.
