2 drown in Batangas beach

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two persons drowned on a beach in Nasugbu, Batangas on Tuesday.

The bodies of Marvin Siday and Mark Aldrin Siringan were recovered by Coast Guard personnel in the waters off Barangay Calayo.

A belated police report said the victims failed to return to their cottage after swimming.

In Pangasinan, the body of Jonald Soriano of  Barangay Bacnar in San Carlos City was found floating off the coast of Barangay Baybay Norte in Sual town yesterday.

Soriano reportedly tried to save his relatives from drowning in Binmaley beach on Monday when he was swept away by the strong current.
