CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A barangay captain in San Fernando, Pampanga was gunned down on Tuesday night.
Jesus Liang of Barangay Sto. Rosario was walking near the city market plaza when an unidentified man shot him in the head, Brig. Gen. Cezar Pasiwen, Central Luzon police director, said.
The victim died at the scene.
“I have ordered an in-depth probe of the incident. We are looking into all angles to establish the possible motives. We are exerting all means to get into the bottom of this unfortunate incident. We are gathering pieces of evidence that will lead us to the identification of the gunman,” Pasiwen said.
