1 dead in Quezon road mishap

MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver died after a truck hit his vehicle in Pagbilao, Quezon on Friday night.

Romeo Bonsol, 42, was declared dead on arrival at the Quezon  Medical Center.

Reports said Bonsol was traveling along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Pinagbayanan when he figured in the accident at around 7 p.m.

Probers said the truck, driven by Luel Marcellana, 52, tried to overtake, but hit Bonsol’s tricycle.

Charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property will be filed against Marcellana, who is currently detained at the Pagbilao police detention cell.
