MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were arrested yesterday for alleged possession of at least P9 million worth of Kush or high-grade marijuana during an anti-narcotics operation in Pasig City.
Taken into police custody were Bjoruyaniel Cruz, 21; Kent Louie Cruz, 38, and Lexi Cruz, 40.
Eastern Police District director Col. Wilson Asueta said the suspects were nabbed by operatives of the EPD and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Blumentritt street, Barangay Kapasigan at around 6:30 a.m.
The suspects allegedly yielded at least six kilos of marijuana valued at P8.4 million.
Police said another package containing P720,000 worth of cannabis was recovered from the suspects.
The suspects are being held on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
In Quezon City, four drug suspects were apprehended during a sting in Fairview.
Aubrey Fallorina, 34; Marichu Labajo, 38; Julie Ann Austino, and Bobeth Vasquez, 40, allegedly yielded shabu.
