MANILA, Philippines — Starting today, Manila residents will receive their Christmas packages from the city government, according to Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan.
Lacuna-Pangan and Vice Mayor John Marvin Nieto inspected the assembly of the Christmas packages at the San Andres Sports Complex yesterday.
The city government’s family boxes were stored on the grounds of the indoor stadium while boxes for senior citizens were kept in another part of the facility.
Lacuna-Pangan and Nieto showed the Christmas boxes for 160,000 seniors citizens contained a thermal tumbler, a can of cookies and packs of coffee.
Meanwhile, 695,000 families will receive Christmas food packages, which contain rice, corned beef, spaghetti noodles and sauce, cheese, fruit cocktail and milk.
Lacuna-Pangan assured the public that everyone in the city across social classes would receive the city government’s Christmas food packs.
