MANILA, Philippines — Four drug suspects were killed while two policemen were wounded in alleged shootouts with law enforcers in San Miguel, Bulacan and Ormoc City in Leyte in the past two days.

One of the two slain suspects in Bulacan was identified as Rommel Suarez, a resident of Nueva Ecija, according to reports reaching Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo.

Four other suspects were arrested.

Cpl. Richard Neri and Patrolman Aaron James Ibasco of the 2nd Provincial Maneuver Force Company of the Bulacan police were wounded.

Law enforcers were reportedly about to serve an arrest warrant for Suarez in Barangay Maligaya on Monday when the suspect and his cohorts opened fire.

In Ormoc, Paolo Pabingwit and a certain Cabahug were killed in a sting in Barangay Cogon yesterday.

Authorities said shabu and the guns used by the suspects were recovered.
