MANILA, Philippines — A man who posed as a policeman was arrested for alleged extortion in Talisay, Batangas on Monday.

Arvin Sumague, 42, was apprehended by operatives of the police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) in an entrapment in front of a supermarket in Barangay Banga at around 5:40 p.m.

The IMEG conducted the operation after receiving a complaint that Sumague, who introduced himself as Corporal Edison, wanted protection money for gambling to be held at a wake.
