CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A drug suspect was killed and shabu worth P142,800 was recovered in a sting in Nueva Ecija on Wednesday.
Arnold Mateo shot it out with anti-drug operatives in Barangay Valle Cruz, Cabanatuan City, according to reports received by Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen.
A caliber .45 pistol was reportedly recovered from the fatality.
Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Calabarzon police director, said Lester de Borja, 27, was arrested in Barangay San Roque in Antipolo City for possession of marijuana bricks worth P1.56 million.
Yusop Yasin, who was arrested in Barangay San Agustin 2 in Dasmariñas, Cavite, reportedly yielded shabu valued at P1.02 million
In Marawi, police said Elias Batuan, 41, and Omaira Abedin, 43, were arrested after selling shabu worth P20,400 to undercover agents in Barangay Loksadatu.
