MANILA, Philippines — Several roads around universities in Manila will be closed to motorists for the Bar examinations this month, the Supreme Court (SC) announced yesterday.

Bar chairman Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa asked the Bar takers as well as commuters and motorists to plan their trips ahead.

The road closures will be implemented on Nov. 9, 13, 16 and 20.

In De La Salle University along Taft Avenue in Manila, the southbound lane of Estrada street to Quirino street will be closed from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m. The northbound lane will be shut down from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Noli street will be closed from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Roads leading to San Beda College will be shut down. These are Concepcion Aguila street, Mendiola and the intersection of Recto Avenue.

Roads around the Manila Adventist College will be closed from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The other testing centers in Metro Manila are the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City campus in Taguig and Ateneo de Manila University on Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. There will be no road closures in these areas, but the SC advised motorists to brace for traffic jams.
