MANILA, Philippines — Classes at a school in Taguig City were suspended yesterday following a hoax bomb threat.

In a Facebook live yesterday, a social media user named Sofia Smith said “students of Signal Village National High School would be killed by an explosion.”

Police said they did not find any explosive device after checking the school premises.

“We are looking into the incident to identify the person responsible for the bomb threat,” Taguig police chief Col. Robert Baesa said.

The local government urged the people to refrain from posting false information on social media, which could cause panic and alarm.
