MANILA, Philippines — Thirteen New People’s Army (NPA) rebels surrendered in Batangas on Friday.
The 13, said to be members of the NPA’s Milisyang Bayan of Sinag I, turned themselves in to the police and military at a command post in Barangay San Marcelino in Taysan town at around 8 a.m.
The rebel returnees were reportedly with the group led by a certain Junalice Isita.
Police said the two of the surrenderees are women aged 33 and 36 and the rest are men aged 21 to 68.
