Lucena road mishap leaves 1 dead, 9 hurt

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A van driver died while his nine passengers were injured when the vehicle collided with a truck along the highway in Lucena, Quezon at past midnight yesterday.

Arjay de la Cueva died on the way to the QMC Hospital.

His passengers, including three minors, were taken to two hospitals for treatment of injuries to their head and body.

A police report said the accident occurred when a truck driven by Aries Nacor veered into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with the van. – Michelle Zoleta
