Free candles for Undas in Mabalacat

Ric Sapnu - The Philippine Star

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga, Philippines — Aside from free cleaning and painting of tombs in public cemeteries in this city, the city government is providing free candles for families visiting the tombs of their loved ones on All Saints’ Day.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo said he ordered a survey of tombs in public cemeteries to determine how many candles will be distributed.

He earlier issued an executive order prescribing the guidelines for public and private memorial parks and cemeteries in observance of Undas.

Public and private cemeteries here will be opened from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The city’s Traffic Enforcement Group said a traffic management plan to be implemented for Undas will be posted on the city government’s Facebook page.
