Motorcycle rider dies in road crash
Manuel Pepito died at the scene after he was thrown off his motorcycle while traversing the southbound lane of Mel Lopez Boulevard, according to the Manila Police District.

MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle rider died after he was run over by a truck in Tondo, Manila on Saturday.

Manuel Pepito died at the scene after he was thrown off his motorcycle while traversing the southbound lane of Mel Lopez Boulevard, according to the Manila Police District.

Pepito was then run over by the right rear wheel of an elf truck driven by Eric Madrid.

Madrid was arrested and will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, police said.
