Obet-hit villages receive aid

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Villages in Cagayan and Ilocos Norte that were devastated by Typhoon Obet received relief items from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) yesterday.

The Philippine Air Force delivered at least 130 family food packs to the hinterlands of Adams in Ilocos Norte, whose roads were left impassable by the typhoon.

Airlifting of additional food packs will continue tomorrow, the DSWD said.

Another 100 family food packs were also airlifted to Barangay Calayan in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
