Boy, 4, dies of diarrhea

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A four-year-old boy has died from dehydration due to diarrhea in Lucena City, Quezon.

The boy was the third fatality recorded in a Badjao community in Barangay Dalahican.

The victim was reportedly rushed to a hospital on Thursday night due to vomiting and loose bowel movement.

Meanwhile, more than 20 residents of the same community are undergoing treatment at the Quezon Medical Center (QMC), also due to diarrhea and dehydration.

Authorities have taken samples from the community’s water source for testing to determine the cause of the disease.
