CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Eleven drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations in Central Luzon that also resulted in the seizure of shabu with an estimated street value of P1 million on Saturday.

Several drug dens were dismantled in the raids that were conducted in Angeles City, Nueva Ecija and Zambales, according to Brig. Gen. Cezar Pasiwen, Central Luzon police director.

Arrested in Angeles were Angelique Marcos and Ariel Obinario, who reportedly yielded six plastic sachets containing shabu.

Suspects Mark Salde, Ramil Gonzales and Robert Mallari reportedly yielded shabu with an estimated street value of P86,428 and a handgun following a raid in Nueva Ecija.

Meanwhile, in Bulacan, a drug suspect was killed in a sting in Meycauayan.

Col. Relly Arnedo, acting Bulacan police director, said Rene Redobla, alias Empoy, reportedly drew his gun after sensing that he was dealing with police undercover agents.

The suspect reportedly fired at the officers, triggering a shootout that resulted in his death.

Probers said they recovered a handgun, several plastic sachets said to contain shabu, drug paraphernalia and marked money at the scene.
