Kalinga LGU employee, nurse found dead in submerged car

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The bodies of an employee of the Kalinga provincial government and a government nurse were discovered in a vehicle found submerged in an irrigation canal in Tabuk City yesterday.

Personnel of the Tabuk City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council as well as the Tabuk and Kalinga police conducted retrieval operations after the vehicle was discovered at around 6 a.m. at the boundary of Barangays Calanan and New Tanglag

The victims were identified as Marlon Agnaya, an employee of the Kalinga provincial administrator’s office and Gerald Gagelonia, nurse at the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Raul Labawan, owner of a restobar in Barangay Masablang said the fatalities came from his restobar and left before midnight yesterday.
