P10 million marijuana seized in Bulacan
CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Philippines — Three drug suspects were arrested and marijuana bricks worth P10.02 million were confiscated in stings in Guiguinto and Obando towns early yesterday.
Reports reaching Col. Relly Arnedo, acting Bulacan police director, said 30 kilos of marijuana bricks valued at P3.6 million were seized in Barangay Sta. Rita in Guiguinto at around 3:15 a.m.
Eliterio Pazon Jr. and Hazel Domingo were apprehended.
Allan Lucero was arrested in Barangay Hulo in Obando at around 4:35 a.m. for alleged possession of marijuana bricks weighing 53.5 kilos worth P6.4 million.
Meanwhile, in Lanao del Sur, five drug suspects with alleged links with the Dawlah Islamiya terrorist group were arrested in Tugaya town.
Samsiah Dilabayan, Kairon Bayabam, Alioden Banto, Aminodin Sultan and Saadudin Sultan were placed in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The five were arrested after reportedly selling shabu worth P238,000 to undercover agents in Barangay Campong Talao at around 5 a.m. – Ric Sapnu, John Unson
