MANILA, Philippines — The Valenzuela government has earmarked P75 million to rehabilitate the city-run hospital, which Mayor Wes Gatchalian described as “heavily dilapidated.”
Gatchalian inspected the Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital last week.
“I feel sorry for the situation of our patients here,” he said.
The management had to put up hospital beds near the city’s astrodome to accommodate more patients, according to Gatchalian.
The mayor also vowed to improve the Polo public market, shelters for the elderly as well as the Valenzuela Youth Center.
