Man trimming trees dies of electrocution

MANILA, Philippines — A man died of electrocution while trimming trees at a gated community in Quezon City on Thursday.

The incident at the White Plains Subdivision in Barangay White Plains occurred at around 12:16 p.m., police said.

The victim, Porseso Pamulagan, was trimming trees outside the house of a certain Tyron Co along Queensville street when a tree branch fell and hit a live electric wire.

Pamulagan was electrocuted and fell to the ground. He was dead when police arrived at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing to determine if there are people who should be held liable for the victim’s death.
