Nograles wife appointed to DOT promotions body

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Tourism has named Ma. Margarita Nograles as the new chief operating officer of the DOT’s Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).

Nograles, wife of Civil Service Commission Chairman Karlo Nograles, was appointed member of the TPB board of directors last month.

TPB is the marketing and promotions arm of the DOT.

Nograles officially assumed office on Tuesday.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco expressed optimism that Nograles would “contribute greatly in bringing the Filipino brand to the global audience.”
