MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Pasig City will be closed to motorists today for the groundbreaking of the Metro Manila Subway project.
In an advisory yesterday, the city government said the northbound lane of Meralco Avenue, the flyover in the area and the service road would be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Vehicles from the northbound lane of Meralco Avenue going to EDSA are advised to take Julia Vargas Avenue, turn left to Lanuza Avenue, left to Ortigas Avenue to destination.
Motorists can also take the SM Megamall road.
Those going to Rizal may pass through Julia Vargas Avenue, left to Lanuza Avenue, right to Ortigas Avenue to destination.
A portion of Meralco Avenue, from Estancia to Shaw Boulevard, will be closed beginning today for the construction of the Shaw Boulevard station of the Metro Manila subway.
