DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao, Philippines — Two persons were killed in a shooting after a traditional Islamic worship at a mosque in this town yesterday.
Jamael Sinsuat, a losing mayoral candidate in the May elections, was gunned down as he emerged from the mosque.
Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao police director, said the assailant was also killed in a gunfight with Sinsuat’s security escorts.
An investigation is ongoing.
