MANILA, Philippines — Two bus drivers tested positive for drugs during random drug testing conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Quezon City yesterday.
According to the LTO, two out of 93 public utility vehicle drivers tested positive for drug use.
The licenses of the two bus drivers were confiscated and turned over to the LTO central office.
The drug test was in line with the LTO’s “Oplan Ligtas Kalsada Kontra Droga,” which aims to ensure the safety of road users.
The drug testing was conducted in coordination with the local police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the management of the Araneta Center bus station in Cubao.
