Most wanted drug suspect falls
MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City’s No. 2 most wanted drug suspect was arrested in Barangay Salvacion before dawn yesterday.
Joey Magat, 32, was nabbed during a sting that yielded at least 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000, according to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Police said Magat is second on the list of priority targets in the illegal drug trade.
The suspect was collared after he reportedly negotiated a drug deal with a police officer who posed as a buyer.
Police also seized Magat’s cell phone, which he allegedly used in the drug transaction.
Magat was among the 18 suspected drug dealers arrested in Quezon City since Tuesday.
