P1.63 million illegal drugs seized in Rizal sting

MANILA, Philippines — Illegal drugs with an estimated value of P1.63 million was seized in a sting that resulted in the arrest of three suspects in San Mateo, Rizal on Saturday afternoon.

Joana Babasa, Ana Mae Oliva and Neavie Guzman were arrested after they allegedly sold an undetermined amount of shabu to police undercover agents.

During inspection, the suspects yielded 240 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1.63 million.

On the same day, police arrested nine persons for alleged possession of illegal drugs in nearby Cainta town.

The suspects – identified as Erwin Angeles, Joy Bernabe, Jean Ealdama, Manuel Hinay, Edwin Naval, Alexia Nilo, Leslie Noche, Mary Claire Rivera and Levi Solano – reportedly yielded shabu with an estimatedstreet value of P612,000.

The suspects were brought to the local police station for proper disposition.
