P9.9 million shabu seized in Pasig, Muntinlupa
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers confiscated at least P9.97 million worth of shabu in separate stings in Pasig and Muntinlupa in the past two days.
In Pasig, police yesterday seized around 917 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P6.23 million from Jhun Lawrence Lao, 18.
Lao was arrested during a sting in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 3:15 a.m., according to Pasig police chief Col. Celerino Sacro Jr.
Lao, said to be a high-value target in the illegal drug trade, allegedly negotiated a deal with a police officer for a pack of shabu in exchange for P35,000.
Charges of drug trafficking are being readied against Lao, who was detained at the Pasig police detention cell.
In Muntinlupa, a drug suspect was apprehended for alleged possession of 550 grams of shabu valued at P3.74 million on Monday.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency collared Ricky Endino, 53, at the parking lot of a mall in Barangay Alabang.
