According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Bulacan, the water level in Angat Dam was at 176.52 meters as of 8 a.m. yesterday.

MANILA, Philippines — Water elevation in the Angat Dam has dropped to more than four meters below its critical level.

According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Bulacan, the water level in Angat Dam was at 176.52 meters as of 8 a.m. yesterday.

This is 4.48 meters below its critical level of 180 meters and 35.48 meters below its normal water level.

Angat Dam is the primary source of potable water for Metro Manila and irrigation water for 27,828 hectares of rice lands in Bulacan and parts of Pampanga.
