BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines — Ifugao and this province will experience a 12-hour power interruption today, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines announced yesterday.
Princess Santiago, NGCP regional communications and public affairs officer specialist, said Alfonso Castañeda town in this province and Lagawe, Lamut, Kiangan, Hingyon, Banaue, Hungduan, Asipulo and Tinoc in Ifugao would be spared from the power interruption.
Santiago said the 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. power outage would pave the way for annual preventive maintenance in the Bayombong-Lagawe 69-kiloVolt line.
She said protective relays would be tested, breaker failure relays and substation equipment failure corrected and woodpoles and line hardware replaced.
