Blast rocks house in Cavite; 3 hurt
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three persons were injured when an explosion ripped through a house in Barangay Bayan Luma 4 in Imus, Cavite yesterday.
Marilyn Ochoa, 56, and her daughter Alisa Marie, 29, were taken to the Pillar Hospital for treatment while her son Jay-Arvin, 24, was brought to the Medical Center Imus Hospital.
Nearby houses and a car owned by Sen. Bong Revilla’s brother Romeo were damaged in the explosion.
The cause of the blast has yet to be determined.
Col. Christopher Olazo, Cavite police director, said probers should look into reports that old stocks of firecrackers were stored in the house.
Police said the victims may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property and physical injuries and illegal possession of firecracker or explosives.
