‘Raffle off rape case vs Vhong Navarro’

MANILA, Philippines — An anti-crime watchdog yesterday asked the Taguig City Regional Trial Court to immediately raffle off the rape complaint filed against television host and actor Vhong Navarro.

Citizens Crime Watch national president Diego Magpantay said Taguig Executive Judge Antonio Olivete should raffle off the case to allow the complainant, model Deniece Cornejo, to be heard in court.

Cornejo filed the rape complaint against Navarro eight years ago.

Members of the group held a rally in front of the Taguig City Hall of Justice yesterday to dramatize their appeal to Olivete.
